We'll Use Them Again! Connecter from the dryer to the vent was replaced and the the vent was cleaned. Everything was cleaned and put back as it was before. We were very pleased with this service, from the technician calling to tell us he was ahead of schedule if we were available, to the knowledge he had of his job. He was very informative on what we should do for future maintenance of our appliances,as well as recommending a service that we hadn't been aware was needed. This involved our fireplaces which, since they are non-wood burning, we didn't realize they needed to be serviced to insure there are no gas leaks. Freed a Trapped Bird. I had a bird trapped in the chimney behind the firebox of a gas fireplace, and no other company in town would attempt the job. I eventually called Home Safe and within an hour Bart had found a way to get it out with no visible damage to the wall. He cut through the back of a closet so the repair wouldn't show and even found a potential fire hazard within the fireplace (due to the builder cutting corners) and warned us of the danger. Excellent Technician. Technician explained how the system worked and why this was an excellent and safe unit. He took measures to keep the carpet clean (tarp over area, booties over his shoes). On Time and Knowledgable. Bart was on time, a rarity these days, & listened carefully to my concerns regarding the main floor fireplace as there had been a leak & repair of my roof/chimney this summer. Main floor fireplace was refurbished & thoroughly cleaned & then a fire started to make sure all was in good working order. Bart then did a routine maintenance check & cleaning of the basement fireplace. He also checked my outside vent or duct to the fireplace along with checking the roof to make sure everything was as it should be. Bart spent about 2 1/2 hours at my home & was very professional addressing my questions & educating me by providing me with tips on properly using the fireplace on the main floor. - N.
